Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, boon for poor: MUDA Chairman

Mahabubnagar Urban Development Authority(MUDA) Chairman Laxman Yadav said on Thursday that the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes have become a blessing for poor families and are proving highly beneficial to economically disadvantaged households. He, along with City Deputy Mayor Marepalli Surender Reddy, distributed “Shaadi Mubarak cheques” to 165 beneficiaries from Mahabubnagar town at the MLA camp office.

Speaking on the occasion, they stated that the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Government Whip and Mahabubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy have transformed Mahabubnagar from a municipality into a municipal corporation and added that thousands of crores are being spent for the development of the Mahabubnagar Municipal Corporation. They further said that the government is implementing several welfare schemes for women such as free travel in RTC buses. The government is also providing up to 200 units of free electricity to poor households, they informed

They also stated that the government is striving to enhance the dignity of the poor by providing Indiramma Houses to homeless families and that efforts are being made to establish supermarkets through women's self-help groups. Laxman Yadav appealed to the people to bless and support the people's government, which is working tirelessly for public welfare.
