Jivankumar of Osmania University has been awarded a PhD in Sanskrit. He received his doctoral degree at the university’s 85th convocation held on September 8, 2026.The achievement comes after years of dedicated study, research and hard work, during which he overcame several challenges. His academic journey, which began in Mancherial, culminated in receiving a doctorate from the historic Osmania University, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Jivankumar was actively involved in social and student movements from his student days. As a student leader at Nizam College, he actively participated in the Telangana movement, contributing to campaigns concerning student issues as well as the movement for the formation of Telangana state. Later, he served as the Osmania University secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
He subsequently worked as ABVP state joint secretary and a member of its national executive committee, leading several movements and programmes concerning students and youth.
