The 8th International Conference on Stem Cells – ISCSGCON 2026 concluded in Hyderabad after two days of scientific discussions on the latest advances in stem cell research and regenerative medicine. The conference was organised by the Indian Stem Cell Study Group in collaboration with Yashoda Hospitals on March 14 and 15 at Taj Deccan.
The event brought together more than 500 orthopaedic surgeons, regenerative medicine specialists and stem cell scientists. Over 50 experts from India and countries including the United States, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates participated, sharing insights on emerging breakthroughs and clinical applications in regenerative medicine.
The second day of the conference was inaugurated by A. Lingayya, Director of Medical Services at Yashoda Hospitals, who attended as the chief guest. One of the key highlights of the event was live surgical demonstrations showcasing advanced regenerative treatment techniques. These sessions allowed doctors, researchers and medical students to observe the latest procedures and innovative therapeutic approaches.
P. L. Srinivas, organising chairman and professor at Osmania Medical College, said the conference provided a valuable international platform for scientists and clinicians to exchange ideas and collaborate on advancing stem cell research.
Organising secretary Krishna Subramanyam, senior orthopaedic surgeon at Yashoda Hospitals Malakpet, said discussions focused on the expanding clinical applications of regenerative medicine in orthopaedics, ophthalmology and cellular therapeutics.
Co-organising secretary A. S. P. V. S. Saketh noted that the live demonstrations and interactive sessions offered practical insights into advanced treatment methods.
Organisers said international scientific gatherings like ISCSGCON will further strengthen Hyderabad’s position as an emerging hub for biomedical research and regenerative medicine.
