A groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new shelter shed for the cows was held today at the Sri Gauri Lakshmi Saraswati Goshala, located adjacent to the Bommala Gudi. To mark the occasion, the program commenced with a special 'Go-Puja' (worship of the sacred cow) performed for the resident cows.
The event was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Itta Soma Sundar and Mr. Kalava Anil, who oversee the operations of the Goshala. The program was attended by Mr. Kola Sivaramakrishna, State President of the Bharatiya Hindu Parishad, and Mr. Arelli Ramesh, its Vice President. Additionally, Ms. Swarnaja, President of the 'Samajika Mahila Nyayavedika' (Social Women's Justice Forum) of Warangal, and its Vice President, Ms. Swarupa, were also present.
Goshala staff members and volunteers driven by a spirit of service also participated in the event, extending their assistance with the construction work.
Speaking on the occasion, Telangana State President Mr. Kola Sivaramakrishna stated, "Service to the sacred cow is service to Lord Govinda." He emphasized that by serving the sacred cow, one effectively renders a righteous service to society. At the conclusion of the program, everyone joined together in offering their salutations to the sacred cow, chanting "Jai Gomata!"
