Infiheal, an IIT Bombay-based mental health startup, has introduced DuoChat, described as the world’s first AI-powered relationship coach designed to help two people communicate together in real time. The launch took place at the official pre-summit hosted by Infiheal and IGAP ahead of the India AI Summit 2026 in New Delhi.

Timed ahead of Valentine’s Day, DuoChat aims to address growing concerns around communication gaps in relationships. While digital mental health platforms have largely focused on individual well-being—such as anxiety and emotional regulation—experts note that emotional health is deeply connected to interpersonal relationships. A 2023 survey by the American Psychological Association found that nearly 60 percent of adults experienced significant stress related to personal or workplace relationships.

Infiheal had earlier launched Healo, an AI mental health companion that has crossed one million users, with 91 percent reporting improved emotional well-being. During its expansion, the team observed that a majority of conversations centered on relationship issues, prompting the development of DuoChat.

The new platform creates a private chat space where two participants engage simultaneously, with AI acting as a facilitator. It offers structured prompts and reflection cues to reduce defensiveness and clarify misunderstandings. Positioned as an early-stage, preventative support tool, DuoChat aims to encourage healthier dialogue before conflicts escalate.

Founded by Srishti Srivastava and Utkarsh Srivastava, Infiheal focuses on clinically validated AI models for mental healthcare within responsible AI frameworks.
