Agricultural exports to the EU too recorded robust growth. Shipments of fish, coffee, tea, spices, cereals, gums and resins expanded during the review period
India’s agricultural and automobile exports are making stronger inroads into the European Union market, registering healthy growth during April–December 2025, according to data released by the Commerce Ministry.
Automobile shipments to the EU witnessed a notable rise during the first nine months of the current financial year. Of India’s total global automotive exports worth USD 19.3 billion in April–December 2025-26, the EU accounted for 11.6 per cent, up from 9.8 per cent in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. Export value to the EU increased from USD 1.6 billion in April–December 2024 to USD 2.2 billion during the same period in 2025.
Overall global automotive exports also rose from USD 16.8 billion to USD 19.3 billion year-on-year in the nine-month period, reflecting steady demand recovery in key markets.
Agricultural exports to the EU too recorded robust growth. Shipments of fish, coffee, tea, spices, cereals, gums and resins expanded during the review period. Notably, cereal exports more than doubled from USD 181 million in April–December 2024 to USD 339 million in April–December 2025.
Officials said the recently concluded free trade agreement negotiations with the EU, which promise zero-duty access on several products, are expected to further boost India’s export momentum in the region.
