The Hyderabad Tyagaraja Aradhana Music Festival (HTAMF), a prominent celebration of Carnatic classical music, will be held from February 1 to 7, 2027, at Shilparamam in Hyderabad. Organized by the Sanskriti Foundation, the annual festival honours Saint Tyagaraja, one of the most revered composers in South Indian classical music. Established in 2016, HTAMF aims to preserve and promote Carnatic music, its spiritual traditions and cultural heritage. Over the years, the festival has grown into a major platform for musicians, students, teachers and music enthusiasts from India and abroad.
The seven-day program will feature evening concerts, student performances, traditional devotional processions and the Pancharatna Seva, the festival's principal event. More than 1,000 artists are expected to participate in collective renditions of Tyagaraja's five celebrated compositions. The program will also include Guru Sanmanam, recognizing distinguished musicians for their contributions to the field.
A key focus of the festival is encouraging young talent by providing students and their teachers opportunities to perform alongside established artistes. Organizers also plan to extend the festival's reach through digital streaming and social media platforms, enabling audiences worldwide to experience the performances.
Run by volunteers, HTAMF combines music, devotion and community service, reinforcing its commitment to passing Saint Tyagaraja's musical legacy to future generations. The festival's evening concerts and Pancharatna Seva will take place at Shilparamam, with the main devotional activities scheduled at Sampradhaya Vedika within the venue.
