Godrej Wealth, the wealth management arm of Godrej Industries Group, has entered Hyderabad as part of its expansion into South India, aiming to strengthen its national presence and tap the city’s growing affluent population. The expansion forms part of the company’s plan to achieve assets under management (AUM) of Rs 1 lakh crore and establish operations across 35 locations by 2031.

Hyderabad accounts for 6.3% of India’s ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs), up from 5% in 2015, and has approximately 19,800 millionaire households. Godrej Wealth plans to serve high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) and UHNIs with investable assets of Rs 5 crore and above.

Manish Shah, MD and CEO of Godrej Capital and non-executive director of Godrej Wealth, said Hyderabad offered significant potential because of its entrepreneurial and business ecosystem. Godrej Wealth CEO Kunal Karnani said the city’s business families, entrepreneurs and globally connected professionals needed support beyond investments, including business wealth management, succession planning and financial security for their families.
