Godavari water lifted at Nandi Pump House

Irrigation authorities in Karimnagar have begun lifting Godavari river water through the Nandi pump house, established under the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. The operation marks the activation of two motors to draw water and discharge it into the canal network. Officials stated that the released water will be conveyed towards the Gayatri pump house located at Lakshmipur in Ramadugu mandal.

The step forms part of the project’s designed process of transferring water between pumping stations. The commencement of pumping operations at Nandi pump house is aimed at ensuring the onward flow of Godavari water through the designated canal route. Authorities confirmed that two motors have been switched on as part of this exercise, enabling water to move toward the next stage at the Gayatri pump house.
