Bike Rally, Zumba Session Mark World Kidney Day

On the occasion of World Kidney Day, Medicover Hospitals organised awareness initiatives in Hyderabad to promote kidney health and preventive care.A large bike rally titled “Medicovered – World Kidney Day Ride” was held in the Financial District in association with the Harley Owners Group – Banjara Chapter. M. Ramesh, Commissioner of Police of Cyberabad Police, attended as chief guest and flagged off the rally. Actor Mahesh Achanta also participated, supporting the kidney health awareness campaign.

At Medicover Hospital Hitec City, a special Zumba fitness session was organised to encourage healthy lifestyles. Actor Viraj Ashwin attended as chief guest and stressed the importance of regular exercise.

Doctors highlighted the need for preventive screening. Kamal Kiran, Head of Nephrology, said chronic kidney disease often shows no early symptoms, making regular check-ups vital. Nephrologist Arun urged people with diabetes and hypertension to undergo timely screening.

Hospital officials said the initiative aimed to raise awareness about preventive healthcare. Numerous bikers, doctors and hospital staff participated in the events.
