The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to conduct weekly review meetings as it pushes for faster land acquisition under the H-CITI initiative and the ongoing Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) works. At a recent review meeting, officials emphasized the need for efficient coordination among departments to prevent traffic congestion and improve Hyderabad’s overall traffic flow.

The meeting assessed the land acquisition status for several key SRDP projects, including the Shilpa Layout Phase-2 Flyover, Nalgonda X Road Flyover, Aaramgarh Flyover (Ramp), and the Shastripuram Road under Bridge (RUB). Officials reiterated the importance of accelerating acquisition efforts to ensure timely completion of these infrastructure works.

GHMC has proposed a series of traffic improvement projects under the H-CITI initiative, with a total estimated budget of Rs 7,032 crore. These projects are currently at various stages of implementation, and authorities stressed the urgency of acquiring encumbrance-free land to facilitate smooth execution.
