Telangana to introduce slot booking system for registrations from April 10

Individuals can reserve a slot for a preferred date and time directly via the website “registration.telangana.gov.in.

Citizens wishing to proceed with registrations would have to book a slot starting April 10. This was stated by Minister for Revenue, Housing, Information and Public Relations, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy here on Tuesday. He added that the aim was to provide improved services to citizens throughout Telangana. The aim is to ensure these services are provided in an efficient, straightforward, quick, transparent, and corruption-free manner.

 The slot booking system that will allow the registration process to be completed in just 10 to 15 minutes, eliminating the need for long waits for document registration. This was announced by Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy in a statement on Tuesday. The Minister mentioned that this slot booking system will be initially rolled out as a pilot program in 22 sub-registrar offices starting April 10, out of the 144 sub-registrar offices located throughout Telangana.

The slot booking programme will be launched at a total of 22 places, including Azampura, Chikkadapalli in Hyderabad, Sadashivapet in Sangareddy district, Qutbullapur, Vallabh Nagar in Medchal district, Shamshabad in Rangareddy district, Saroor Nagar, Champapet, Ramagundam in Peddapalli district, Kusumanchi in Khammam district, Khammam (R.O), Medchal (R.O), Mahabubnagar (R.O), Jagtial, Nirmal, Warangal Fort, Warangal Rural, Kothagudem, Armur, Bhuvanagiri, Choutuppal, Nagar Kurnool, he said.

In an effort to prevent delays from multiple document submissions for registration at the Sub-Registrar's office on the same day, the Minister announced that the office's working hours have been organised into 48 designated time slots.

He explained that individuals can reserve a slot for a preferred date and time directly via the website “registration.telangana.gov.in.  Visitors are encouraged to arrive at their scheduled time to complete the registration process and depart promptly.

The Minister further mentioned that for those without a prior booking, the office will accommodate five walk-in registrations daily between 5 PM and 6 PM for urgent cases. Walk-in applicants will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

To improve the slot booking experience, particularly in offices with high demand or where more than 48 slots are necessary, the Minister indicated that additional Sub-Registrars will be appointed alongside the existing staff.

Qutbullapur office in the Medchal Malkajgiri district has appointed two additional Sub-Registrars and an extra staff member, resulting in an increase of 144 available slots in the office, he reported.
