May 2026: Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea opens from 20 May, marking the latest luxury opening on Shura Island at The Red Sea. The opening coincides with strong tourism momentum across Saudi, with occupancy at The Red Sea destination reaching 82% during the final 10 days of Ramadan, ahead of an expected increase in demand during Eid Al-Adha.
Designed around nature, privacy and immersive guest experiences, the property introduces a new island retreat on Saudi’s west coast. Set on the island’s eastern tip and surrounded by water on three sides, the setting offers direct access to soft-sand beaches, sculpted dunes, and a sandbank extending into a sheltered lagoon. The resort architecture draws on traditional caravan routes, with low-rise structures set among dunes and oasis-like landscapes to create privacy and a strong sense of place.
It features 149 rooms, suites, and villas, alongside 31 private residences, all opening onto views of beaches, lagoons, and dunes. Dining unfolds across six distinct concepts, from plant-forward menus at Sea Green to Levantine cuisine at Al Forn and Italian dishes served outdoors at Spiaggia Restaurant and Pool, alongside relaxed venues for all-day dining. Wellness facilities include indoor and outdoor treatment pavilions, a hammam, fitness center, tennis and padel courts, and dedicated adults-only and family pool areas.
The resort blends relaxation with exploration across all age groups. Kids For All Seasons offers structured programming, while teenagers have a dedicated social space. Marine and nature-led experiences include coral and mangrove restoration programs through the on-site Marine Education Centre. Indoor and outdoor event spaces include a ballroom for up to 120 guests, suited to celebrations and destination weddings.
