Minister for Panchayat Raj Seethakka has urged the people to adhere to road safety regulations strictly. On Monday, the Minister inaugurated the National Road Safety awareness program in Asifabad, which aims to educate citizens about responsible driving and pedestrian safety.
During the event, Seethakka recommended that all motorcycle riders wear helmets. She remarked, "Individuals invest in beverages and nightlife but neglect to spend on helmets, which are essential for safeguarding their lives. Last year, 213 fatalities occurred in the district."
Seethakka advised against consuming alcohol while operating a vehicle and using a mobile phone while driving. She emphasized that every two-wheeler rider should secure their helmets properly to avoid jeopardizing the lives of others due to personal errors.
Subsequently, the Minister opened a model Anganwadi center in Jankapur village, located in the Asifabad mandal, where colorful uniforms were distributed to the Anganwadi children and Balamrut was fed to them.
Local MLA Kova Lakshmi, Adilabad Congress Parliament in-charge Atram Suguna and others were present.
