Flag march held ahead of municipal polls

Ahead of the forthcoming municipal elections, police conducted a flag march on Friday in Gaddapotharam village under the limits of the IDA Bollaram Police Station. The exercise was carried out on Saturday, as part of measures to ensure peaceful polling and maintain law and order.

According to IDA Bollaram Inspector Ravinder Reddy, the flag march was held between 11.30 a.m. and 12.15 p.m. Personnel from the IDA Bollaram police station, along with Armed Reserve staff, participated in the march and covered key areas of the village.

The Station House Officer stated that the initiative was taken to strengthen security arrangements, instil confidence among the public and enhance visible policing during the election period. He appealed to residents to cooperate with the police and exercise their right to vote freely and peacefully.

Police officials said the situation in the village is currently calm and under control, with continuous monitoring in place as the election process approaches.
