Ensure proper paddy procurement and transport: Collector

District Collector Sneha Shabarish stated on Wednesday that procurement and transport of paddy needs to be done without harming the interests of farmers. She made a surprise visit to the procurement centers at Mannegudem and Maripedu in Sirol mandal and made appropriate instructions to officials.

She called for transporting the procured paddy to the mills without compromising on quality anywhere. She also instructed the officials to ensure kantas and vehicles for transport regularly. She also directed the officials to issue track sheets and ensure that the money for the procured paddy is credited to the farmer’s account.
