Mancherial District Collector Kumar Deepak stated on Friday that measures are being taken to ensure the welfare of workers engaged in development works under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. The Collector, accompanied by District Rural Development Officer Kishan and Mandal Parishad Development Officer Gangamohan, inspected ongoing work sites in the Bheemini mandal headquarters of Mancherial district.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector Kumar Deepak directed officials to take steps so that workers reach the work sites by 6 AM and return home by 11 AM, considering the intensifying heat. During the visit, he felicitated field assistants Leelavathi, Sairam and Satyanarayana with shawls and cash rewards for their commitment in implementing the works. The Collector also visited the Primary Health Centre in the mandal headquarters, where he inspected wards, registers and surroundings.
