Following a fruitful meeting with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday evening, the Joint Action Committee of Telangana Government Employees convened a detailed review meeting at TNGOs Bhavan, Nampally on Sunday, to discuss the outcomes and future course of action.

The meeting, attended by representatives of employees, teachers, workers and pensioners, expressed cautious optimism over the assurances extended by the Chief Minister on several long pending issues. The JAC leadership stated that the government had responded positively to key concerns, including implementation of Pay Revision Commission recommendations, settlement of pending dues, and strengthening of employee welfare mechanisms.

During the discussions, the JAC emphasized the need for early resolution of issues related to health services under the Employees Health Scheme, enhancement of retirement benefits, and timely disbursement of salaries and pensions. It also reiterated demands for filling vacant posts and addressing anomalies affecting various categories of employees.

A major focus of the meeting was on PRC implementation and Contributory Pension Scheme and the demand for CPS replacement with the Old Pension Scheme for eligible employees. The JAC noted that the Chief Minister had assured a sympathetic and practical approach to this issue. It also reviewed concerns regarding promotions, transfers, and service conditions across departments.

The committee resolved to maintain continuous engagement with the government while closely monitoring progress on assurances. It decided to give reasonable time for implementation of commitments, while keeping all options open depending on the response from the authorities.

Leaders highlighted that the unity of employees across sectors remains crucial in securing their rights and ensuring effective governance.

The JAC resolved to safeguard employee interests while supporting the state’s development agenda. JAC Chairman Maram Jagadeeswar and Secretary General Eluri Srinivasa Rao, along with representatives of various employee unions took part.
