Collector seeks impartial & prompt resolution of grievances

District Collector Sneha Sabarish has directed officials to give top priority to resolving public problems impartially and within the stipulated time frame. Along with Additional Collector K. Anil Kumar, the Collector held the weekly ‘Praja Vani’ program at the District Collectorate conference hall on Monday and personally received petitions from the public. Speaking on the occasion, Collector Sneha Sabarish instructed officials to examine every petition thoroughly at the field level and deliver quick justice.

She emphasized that in case a petition is rejected, the reasons must be communicated to the applicant in writing. The Collector warned that strict action would be taken against anyone collecting money from farmers during maize and paddy procurement. She directed officials to ensure hassle-free procurement and transportation, which is currently progressing at a record pace.

As part of the state government’s Praja Palana - Pragati Pranalika program, the Collector unveiled the poster for the Youth Sports Festival and called upon officials to make all scheduled programs a success across the district. A total of 132 petitions were received during the Praja Vani program. Prominent among them were issues related to Dharani portal problems, Aasara pensions, double-bedroom houses, land disputes, and local civic issues.

The Collector instructed officials to submit reports on these petitions at the earliest. After the Praja Vani program, the Collector held a review meeting with senior officials and directed them to resolve the petitions speedily through inter-departmental coordination, particularly on revenue, police, panchayat raj and welfare-related issues.
