With the festival of Sankranti fast approaching, the influx of millions of passengers has created an overwhelming demand for transport, leaving many stranded due to an insufficient number of buses. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to utilize private buses, as well as school and college buses, to manage the holiday rush.

Bus stations in cities like Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, Vijayawada, Guntur, Nellore, Tirupati, Kurnool, and Anantapur are bustling with activity as passengers struggle to secure transportation to their destinations. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the state government has ramped up efforts to address the travel woes of festival-goers.

The Chief Minister directed RTC Managing Director Dwaraka Tirumala Rao and transport department officials to mobilize fit and roadworthy buses through the RTC network to accommodate the increased demand. He emphasized the importance of ensuring passenger safety and convenience by deploying these additional buses, especially on heavily crowded routes.
