The BRS and BJP parties, who did not like dalits, BCs and Tribals benefiting from the welfare schemes, BC caste census and SC categorization taken up by the Congress government, are now creating political chaos in the Telangana State, charged Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka.
Speaking at the Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan public meeting organized at Mancherial by the local MLA Prem Sagar on Monday, Bhatti Vikramarka lashed out that these parties were spewing venom at the State government.
Lambasting the opposition parties, the Deputy Chief Minister alleged that unable to stop the BC caste census, SC categorization and other major programmes taken up by Revanth Reddy led government, both BRS and BJP leaders were resorting to political conspiracies.
When the then Chief Minister PV Narasimha Rao had initiated land reforms in a big way in the united Andhra Pradesh, some leaders brought Jai Andhra movement to disrupt land reforms programme. Similarly now BRS and BJP leaders were resorting to disruptive politics in the State, he pointed out.
‘Social change is the Congress party’s principle. To facilitate this, the Congress party decided to identify the population of different categories in the State through caste census and to extend welfare benefits to them in the same proportion. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the entire Cabinet are going ahead with the same principle,’ Bhatti Vikramarka said.
He asserted that however much they tried, BRS and BJP would not be able to stall this programme. The Deputy Chief Minister further said that Baba Saheb Ambedkar Pranahita Chevella project will be inaugurated and the irrigation facility will be extended. He recounted several programmes launched by the State government to encourage women entrepreneurs and said that special industrial parks were being set up for women.
