The Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Relief Foundation Trust (BMJRFT) has achieved a landmark milestone by completing 18 lakh dialysis sessions, significantly advancing affordable healthcare access for economically weaker sections.

The Trust crossed the milestone on March 18, 2026, resulting in cumulative savings of over Rs 136 crore for patients. Founded in 2009 by 16 Jain philanthropists, BMJRFT began with a single dialysis unit at Mahaveer Hospital, serving just six patients a month. It has since expanded to 228 machines, conducting around 600 sessions daily. BMJRFT has transformed dialysis access by offering treatment at just Rs 300 per session, compared to Rs 2,500–Rs 5,000 charged by corporate hospitals. Its services now span 11 locations and multiple partner institutions across Hyderabad and nearby regions.

The Trust is also among the few organisations catering to HIV and HBV-positive kidney patients. To strengthen its services, it established the Mahaveer Hospital and Research Centre with advanced safety protocols. Beyond dialysis, BMJRFT provides subsidised supportive treatments, including essential injections and dialysis kits. By May 2025, it had completed 16 lakh sessions, earning recognition in the Golden Book of World Records.

Chairman P. C. Parakh said the Trust remains committed to expanding its reach. Trustee Ashok Kothari described the milestone as “18 lakh lives sustained,” crediting the collective efforts of medical teams, donors, and volunteers.
