TGFDC to host nature camp on August 15

The Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC), under its ecotourism brand “Deccan Woods and Trails” is organising an immersive Nature Camp at Forestrek Park, Manchirevula, Hyderabad, from 4:30 PM on Saturday, 15 August 2026 to 10:00 AM on Sunday, 16 August 2026.

The Nature Camp is designed to provide participants with an engaging and educational experience in the midst of nature. A range of activities, including team building, tent pitching, nocturnal walk, night camping, morning bird watching, trekking and nature trails, will be conducted under the guidance of experienced nature experts and Naturalists. Participants will also be provided with evening snacks, dinner and breakfast as part of the programme.

Speaking about the programme, TGFDC Senior Divisional Manager and Assistant Director, Eco-Tourism, Shirisha, said that the Nature Camp is open to both children and adults and provides an excellent opportunity to learn about nature and wildlife through direct observation and guided experiences.

During the morning bird-watching session, participants will have an opportunity to observe and identify different species of birds. The Naturalists will explain in detail the habitats preferred by various birds, the types of trees and environments in which they build their nests, their feeding habits, flight patterns and social behaviour. Participants will also be guided on how to observe birds responsibly while understanding the importance of conserving their natural habitats.

The participation fee for the Nature Camp is Rs. 1,199 per person for children aged 6 to 12 years and Rs. 1,999 per person for participants aged 13 years and above.
