BJP State President N Ramchander Rao on Friday said the Congress has promised to jail corrupt BRS leaders within 100 days of coming to power. But even after over two years of its rule no action has been taken against any major leader.
Reacting on the comments of chief minister Revanth Reddy that there was a secret deal between BRS and BJP , Rao asserted that infact there was a secret understanding between Congress and BRS because the investigations into the phone-tapping case and the Kaleshwaram project is tardy and intentionally delayed. Regarding Kaleshwaram, the government claimed that the case was handed over to CBI that covers the quality of three barrages and not the massive corruption involved in the entire project.
While addressing a Municipal and corporation election meeting at Narsapur in Medak district, The BJP chief threw a challenge to Congress government stating that “ do you have the guts to hand over the entire Kaleshwaram corruption case to the CBI.
The people in urban areas have been facing severe basic infrastructure issues. There is no proper drainage system and drinking water is irregular. The people have been facing numerous problem including electricity issues, he blamed.
Rao accused Congress government of imposing a heavy tax burden on the people in municipalities. Previously, the BRS government had increased taxes in the name of urban development and now the Congress government is following the same path.
He said the people must remember who actually built the roads we see today. Nationwide road development has taken place under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government.
Rao alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is spreading false propaganda by claiming "the Center is giving nothing." If not from the Center, who is providing 5 kg of free rice to the poor? Who built our highways? Who developed our railway stations? How did we get the Vande Bharat train? The CM must answer these questions.
The state BJP chief said the Congress government is looting money from the people's pockets. If this continues, "Tax Terrorism" will escalate in Telangana. He urged people to elect BJP candidates for corruption-free administration and to ensure development in municipalities.
