Pipri village, nestled in the Boath constituency of Adilabad district, was more than just a host on Monday; it was the site of a profound homecoming. Three years ago, Pipri served as the launching pad for Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu's ambitious "People's March" Padayatra. That 1,364-kilometer journey from the forests of Adilabad to Khammam, undertaken in the intense summer heat of 2023, reshaped Bhatti's political and personal life. He has described the march as a "great mission," driven by the "burning pain of people’s problems" and a deep sense of responsibility toward the marginalized.

On Monday, Pipri village transformed into a vibrant hub of public participation for the "Praja Palana – Pragati Bata" programme. Here, the Deputy Chief Minister delivered a powerful address, reflecting on that historical journey while reinforcing the government’s service-oriented approach to governance.

Bhatti recalled how the People’s March forged a powerful emotional connection with citizens across Telangana. Encounters with villagers, farmers, women, and unemployed youth left a lasting imprint on him—mothers offering food with affection, farmers greeting him with firm handshakes, and young people hoping for a better future. These experiences, he noted, strengthened his resolve to work toward a government that truly serves the people.

Now in power, Bhatti emphasized that the real responsibility has begun, with the issues he documented during the march guiding the government’s priorities. He set a clear tone, asserting that power for the current leadership is neither about status nor domination. Neither he, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, nor any cabinet member views authority as a means of control, but rather as a responsibility rooted in service. The government, he stressed, functions with a humanitarian outlook aimed at building an equitable and inclusive society.

Delivering for Pipri and Adilabad Bhatti noted that the Chief Minister himself conceived the idea of organizing this large-scale public meeting in Pipri, reflecting the leadership’s commitment to engaging directly with people at the grassroots. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for initiating development works worth Rs 1,238 crore in the region, calling it a strong indicator of the government’s focus on balanced regional growth.

Highlighting key initiatives, the Deputy CM spoke about the ambitious plan to establish Young India Integrated Residential Schools, each spread over 25 acres with an investment of Rs 200 crore. He described these institutions as a first-of-its-kind effort to provide world-class education and enable students to compete globally.

Reiterating the government’s broader vision, Bhatti said Telangana is being shaped into a state where people feel proud of their identity, with policies entirely centered on public welfare. Governance, he emphasized, must remain in the hands of the people and not be influenced by feudal forces.

A Continued Commitment to Welfare and Education Calling upon citizens to protect and strengthen the government, he described it as one formed by the people and working solely for their welfare. He assured that every promise made is being implemented transparently, ensuring public resources directly benefit citizens.

Among the specific welfare measures, Bhatti highlighted: The Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme for supporting unemployed youth, a vision to create one crore women millionaires and the Indiramma Accident Insurance Scheme, providing Rs. 5 lakh financial support to families during tragedies.

On education and child welfare, he underlined the commitment to ensuring no child attends school on an empty stomach, announcing breakfast provisions like ragi porridge or milk. Education, Bhatti emphasized, is the most powerful tool for transformation, and the Chief Minister is ready to invest whatever it takes to empower the youth through knowledge, driving the overall advancement of the state.

In an emotional open letter reflecting on the march, Bhatti credited several leaders who stood by him, including then-PCC Chief A. Revanth Reddy and senior Congress colleagues, whose support helped transform the padayatra into a mass movement.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude to every supporter who walked with him through "sun and rain," Bhatti called their trust and affection invaluable. He concluded with a strong message of dedication, promising to continue this journey of public service and welfare relentlessly, standing with the people of Telangana "until his last breath."

Pipri on the path to progress

Marking three years of the landmark “People’s March” padayatra, the Telangana government held a massive public meeting titled Praja Palana – Pragathi Baata at Pipri village in Adilabad district on Monday where development works worth Rs 1238 crore were inaugurated or had foundation stones laid, spanning key sectors such as irrigation, education, infrastructure, and welfare.
