No abuses, no controversies, no attacks, no settlements-calling for a reset in political conduct

The Chief Minister of AP delivered a sharp politically charged message to leaders and cadre at the Telugu Desam Party’s newly constituted executive swearing-in sending a message to steer away from abusive politics, factionalism, and coercive practices. “No abuses, no controversies, no attacks, no settlements,” he said, calling for a reset in political conduct.
Reasserting control over party discipline and governance standards, N Chandrababu Naidu delivered a sharp, politically charged message to leaders and cadre at the Telugu Desam Party’s newly constituted executive swearing-in. The Chief Minister made it unequivocal, positions in the TDP will be earned through performance, not patronage, and any deviation from discipline will carry political costs.
“Every leader must remember, workers stand by those who are given tickets. That is the core strength of the TDP,” Naidu said, underlining a culture where organisational decisions must be respected on the ground. He cautioned leaders against arrogance and excesses, warning that public perception can swiftly turn against those who misuse power. “We have seen what ego and governance failure did to the previous regime, the people delivered their verdict,” he remarked, in a pointed political reminder.
Even minor disputes, over flex boards, photo placements, or seating arrangements, were flagged as unacceptable. “Discipline must begin at the top and cascade down to the grassroots,” he added.
Emphasising continuity and electoral sustainability, Naidu urged leaders to avoid being “one-term MLAs” and instead build enduring public trust. “If TDP is strong, the state is strong. Any regression will cost Andhra Pradesh dearly,” he warned, framing party strength as synonymous with state stability.
Reflecting on the party’s internal restructuring, Naidu said the new committees were formed after extensive deliberation, balancing seniority with fresh talent and ensuring representation across social groups. He acknowledged the sacrifices of cadre during challenging political phases and reiterated that hard work, not proximity to power, would determine elevation.
Taking a combative political tone, Naidu contrasted his government’s development-first agenda with the opposition’s politics of disruption and misinformation. He accused rivals of weaponising false narratives and attempting to obstruct investments, while asserting that investor confidence in Andhra Pradesh remains intact.
On governance, the Chief Minister outlined a recovery roadmap, reviving a strained economy with central support, accelerating irrigation for water security, restoring the power sector without burdening consumers, and pushing infrastructure in ports, airports, and highways. He reiterated the commitment to reduce power procurement costs and expand welfare delivery without fiscal stress.
‘Equation with PK strong’
Addressing recent frictions, Naidu clarified that his equation with Pawan Kalyan remains strong, sending a signal of coalition stability. He urged cadre across levels to mirror this cohesion and avoid actions that could damage the alliance’s credibility. “From the grassroots worker to the party president, discipline is our core doctrine,” he stressed.
Recently, clashes broke out between Jana Sena and TDP leaders in Pithapuram during a PADA meeting ahead of distributing tabs, mobiles to SHGs and CMRF cheques. Former MLA S.V.S.N. Varma objected to the absence of N. Chandrababu Naidu’s photo on a banner featuring K. Pawan Kalyan and tore it in anger.
