The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has carried out simultaneous raids at the residence and offices of Land and Survey Deputy Director K. Narahari, uncovering suspected assets worth more than Rs 50 crore.
Acting on credible information about disproportionate assets, officials conducted searches at 11 different locations, including Hyderabad and surrounding areas on Tuesday. The raids were led by ACB DSP Gangasani Sridhar and continued throughout the day. Key locations include Narahari’s residence in Chatrinaka, his office at the Survey Bhavan in Narayanaguda, and properties linked to his close relatives.
During the searches, officials reportedly found large-scale unaccounted wealth. Around Rs 1.10 crore cash was discovered in Narahari’s bedroom. Out of this, Rs 32 lakh has been formally seized so far. In addition to cash, ACB teams recovered land-related documents and a significant quantity of gold jewellery from multiple premises. Preliminary assessments suggest that the total value of assets unearthed during the raids may exceed Rs 50 crore, though official confirmation is awaited.
Searches were also conducted at the residence of his brother, where further properties and assets were reportedly identified. Officials are currently verifying ownership details and financial records related to the seized material.
Narahari is serving as Deputy Director in the Survey and Land Records department under Multizone-2, where he handles crucial responsibilities such as land surveys, boundary dispute resolution, and land acquisition-related matters. He is alleged to have been involved in large-scale irregularities in coordination with lower-level staff while processing land records and related clearances.
Complaints of illegal monetary collection in several transactions had previously surfaced. He had also worked earlier as Assistant Director in Rangareddy district, during which period he is suspected to have accumulated disproportionate assets. The ACB has intensified scrutiny across all linked locations, and the investigation is still in progress.
