Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said the government was undertaking extensive development works across the state. Asserting that Kuppam was attracting an unprecedented number of industrial projects, he said every Assembly constituency would be transformed on similar lines.

On the third day of his tour of Kuppam constituency, which he represents, the CM said the government has prepared plans to ensure balanced regional growth through decentralised development while working to attract investments in the quantum computing and semiconductor sectors.

"We are improving connectivity in Kuppam in all sectors, including roads and communication. People will witness a developed Kuppam, and we will develop every constituency in the state in the same manner," Naidu told reporters. He said the Quantum Computing Centre in Amaravati would commence operations by December and noted that the state is expanding renewable energy generation through solar and wind power while also introducing advanced power supply systems.

Naidu said leading steel makers ArcelorMittal and Jindal South West are setting up projects in Andhra Pradesh, adding that the government is giving equal importance to industrial growth and environmental protection. He said the government is resolving long-pending land disputes and alleged that the previous government had allotted land to companies in a manner that pushed them into disputes, blocking valuable land and mineral resources for the benefit of an individual.

Naidu claimed that several industrial ventures had been pushed into difficulties under the erstwhile YSRCP government between 2019 and 2024 and accused their leaders of driving industries away while taking credit for projects brought by the coalition government.

The CM alleged that the previous government had turned agency areas into hubs of ganja cultivation and noted that the Centre had since launched the drug-free India campaign. He alleged that those responsible for adulterating Tirumala prasadam were now preaching morality.

Calling the YSRCP the “axe party”, he claimed that it was funding propaganda against the government and using certain social media platforms to target him and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Naidu alleged that the YSRCP thrived on “violence, factionalism and rowdyism”.

Highlighting irrigation initiatives, he said water had been brought to Kuppam through the Handri-Neeva canal and expressed confidence that the Galeru-Nagari project would also be completed soon.
