VinFast has unveiled a nationwide exchange programme encouraging owners of petrol cars to upgrade to its locally-assembled electric SUVs, the VF 6 and VF 7, backed by financing support and a growing charging network.

As India accelerates its electric vehicle transition, urban roads are increasingly seeing EV adoption, supported by pilot projects, state budgets, and new charging stations. VinFast has quickly established local assembly in Tamil Nadu and rolled out its SUVs with a focus on range, safety, and usability.

The exchange programme offers immediate financial incentives for petrol car owners, reducing economic and psychological barriers to switching. Customers receive exchange bonuses, structured payment plans, and access to fast charging, advanced driver assistance systems, and connected features. The VF 6 delivers up to 468 km of range with a 59.6 kWh battery and DC fast charging from 10% to 70% in 25 minutes. The VF 7 offers higher output variants with a similarly robust safety package; both models hold five-star Bharat NCAP ratings.
