Vijayasai Reddy to unveil five proposals at Visakhapatnam

Metro India News | AMARAVATI : Former Rajya Sabha member V. Vijayasai Reddy is set to address a press conference in Visakhapatnam on September 30, where he said he would present evidence to support his allegations that two family-based political parties in Andhra Pradesh were causing harm to the State rather than benefiting it. Vijayasai Reddy said the press conference would be held at 11 a.m. at the Daspalla Hotel in Visakhapatnam. 

He said he would speak on a range of issues, including what he described as injustice to North Andhra, alleged behind-the-scenes political alliances and alleged religious conversions targeting tribal communities. He invited media organizations in Visakhapatnam to provide live coverage of the event, saying the issues to be discussed were connected with public interest. 

The proposed press meet is part of a series of interactions through which Vijayasai Reddy has been presenting political proposals and raising issues concerning the State. He recalled that he had earlier placed 10 proposals before the public through press conferences in Vijayawada and Anantapur. At the Visakhapatnam meeting, he said he would present five more proposals, although he has not disclosed their details ahead of the event.

The announcement comes as Vijayasai Reddy prepares for his next phase of political activity. Earlier this month, he had outlined plans to launch a new political party after Vijayadasami and described it as an alternative to the existing political parties in Andhra Pradesh. The September 30 meeting is therefore expected to provide further details on the issues and proposals he intends to take up as part of his political program.
