Vana Mahotsav celebrated by IIMC NSS and NCCunits

On the occasion of “Vana Mahotsav”, Indian Institute of Management Degree & PG College (Autonomous), Lakdikapul, jointly organized a "Plantation Drive" under the name "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" by NSS Units 1 & 2, Eco Club and NCC. The drive was held at the premises of "Ratnalayam" Venkateswara Swamy Temple and at the old age home being run there, located in Shameerpet Mandal.   Under the supervision of E. Ramakrishna, Program Officer of NSS Unit 2, and Colonel Vasant Kumar, NCC Officer, NSS volunteers and NCC cadets planted 200 saplings brought from the Forest Department, Bachupally.

Kura Raghuveer, NSS Chairman and Principal of the college carries out tree planting programs every year with the college's NSS volunteers. E.Ramakrishna, Program Officer of NSS Unit 2, said that environmental protection is the social responsibility of every individual. He expressed thanks to the Chairman and Executive Members of Ratnalayam for providing the opportunity to conduct the plantation drive.
