Utilize Ayurveda, homeopathy and Unani services: District Collector

District Collector Sneha Shabarish advised the public to utilize Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani services effectiely. On Friday, “AYUSH Day” was observed at the District Hospital. Attending the program as Chief Guest, the Collector said that the event was organized as part of the “Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika” Program, aimed at bringing government services closer to the people. She informed that yoga sessions were conducted across all Gurukul schools and hostels in the district from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM. Similarly, Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani medical camps were organized, with participation from local AYUSH doctors and staff.

The Collector also stated that Homeopathy Day is observed every year on the birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of the Homeopathy system of medicine. She inaugurated the camp by garlanding the portrait of Dr. Hahnemann and lighting the ceremonial lamp. She also visited the exhibition of medicinal plants arranged at the camp and showed keen interest in learning about the medicinal benefits of plants such as Tulsi, Neem and Amla.

A total of 384 people availed medical services at the camp. The Collector noted that there are 10 AYUSH dispensaries in the district and instructed officials to provide services to the public as per the scheduled plan. She also suggested preparing proposals for planting medicinal plants at the district headquarters and other locations for public benefit.
