The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) management appealed to its employees not to get misled by rumors and false propaganda being spread by some people claiming to be union leaders.
Management has noticed that some people are making false allegations in the name of TGSRTC unions. They have been creating confusion among RTC employees by making arbitrary statements and issuing announcements in order to save their lives. Recently, they are trying to mislead and provoke the employees by saying that the company is cancelling State Retirement Benefit Scheme (SRBS).
The TGSRTC management strongly condemns this deliberate misinformation campaign that is tarnishing the reputation of the company. The management is appealing to employees not to get misled by false propaganda and rumours being spread by some people claiming to be union leaders.
The management clarified that it does not compromise at all on the welfare of the employees who are driving RTC forward. The 2017 PRC, which has been pending for many years, was provided in May 2024 with 21 percent fitment. The 11 pending DAs were released to the employees in phases from 2019. The organization has deposited Rs 280 crore related to RPS-2013 bonds in the accounts of RTC employees. The organization is providing accident insurance of Rs 1.20 crore to the employees who die prematurely due to accidents and are permanently disabled.
In the last three and a half years, the management has paid Rs 2,348.35 crore to PF and Rs 1300.73 crore to CCS. As of 2021-22, the PF dues were Rs 1,352.82 crore, and the recovery amounts have been reduced to Rs 580.37 crore by paying them regularly every month. Similarly, the CCS dues were Rs 887.48 crore by 2021-22. The company has reduced the recovery amounts to Rs 451.09 crore by paying them regularly every month.
The company has had PF and CCS arrears since 2012. They are spreading false propaganda that the funds have been utilized now. This is completely untrue. For the past three and a half years, the company has been paying the employees' CCS and PF recovery amounts on time every month. It is gradually reducing the remaining pending arrears by making payments. The management has brought the remaining pending issues to the attention of the state government. The government is also positive about resolving them, said management.
