TG Weatherman files trademark for official logo

The logo of TG Weatherman, a Telangana-focused weather forecasting platform managed by T. Balaji, has been filed for trademark registration in a move aimed at protecting the platform's identity and strengthening its official brand.

TG Weatherman has become a recognised source of weather information for Telangana, providing regular forecasts based on the analysis of satellite imagery, weather models and other meteorological data. The platform's updates are followed by people across the state to plan travel, farming activities, outdoor events and daily schedules, particularly during the monsoon season and periods of changing weather.

The trademark filing was facilitated by Resolute IP Services. Speaking on the development, Subhajit Saha of Resolute IP Services said the decision to file the trademark was taken to safeguard the TG Weatherman brand as its public recognition continues to grow.

"Registering a trademark is an important step in protecting a brand's identity. It gives the owner exclusive rights over the logo, helps prevent misuse or imitation, and enables the public to easily identify the authentic source of information. As a brand grows, protecting its intellectual property becomes equally important," Saha said.

A trademark serves as a legal safeguard for a brand by protecting its name and logo from unauthorised use. It also strengthens credibility, builds public trust and ensures that users can distinguish the official platform from fake or misleading accounts. The trademark application has been filed with the Trade Marks Registry, marking an important step towards securing legal protection for the TG Weatherman logo and reinforcing the platform's identity as it continues to serve people across Telangana.
