Adivasi tourism exposure programme to begin at Utnoor
Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao will launch the Adivasi Tourism Exposure Programme at Utnoor on April 22. The initiative is aimed at empowering tribal communities by giving them firsthand exposure to urban development, culture, and heritage experiences.
The programme originates from the Minister’s earlier visit to Kummarikumta village in Utnoor mandal, where he had promised tribal residents an opportunity to visit Hyderabad. He will formally flag off the programme at 6 a.m. at Gondguda.
Around 650 tribal participants from the Utnoor region will take part in the three-phase tour scheduled from April 22 to 26. They will travel in batches of 200 to 250, with five air-conditioned buses arranged by the Tourism Department to ensure comfortable movement.
During the visit, participants will explore key landmarks in Hyderabad, including Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Charminar, Golconda Fort, Taramati Baradari, Lumbini Park, and Shilparamam, offering them exposure to the city’s development and cultural heritage. Accommodation will be provided at Taramati Baradari with special hospitality arrangements. Officials from the Tourism Department, Adilabad administration, and ITDA are overseeing the arrangements.
