AI to power Indiramma Housing Scheme, create health profiles of citizen

The Telangana Government is to harness Artificial Intelligence in a big way and would utilize the technology to make its flagship Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme, ensuring a transparent, corruption-free, and efficient implementation of the initiative and to create a comprehensive health profile for every citizen in the state.
The Revenue, Housing, and Information Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced that AI will be leveraged at every stage, from beneficiary selection to real-time monitoring of construction progress.
During a high-level review meeting at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat on Wednesday, the Minister emphasized that state-of-the-art AI technology will eliminate irregularities and prevent delays in house construction and payments.
A special mobile app has already been deployed, enabling a cloud-based AI system to verify survey details, ensuring that only the truly deserving receive benefits. AI will also track construction updates in real-time, allowing officials to monitor progress from anywhere in the state. Payments for house construction will be released in four phases, with AI ensuring timely disbursement and eliminating bureaucratic hurdles.
The Indiramma Indlu Scheme, launched as part of Telangana’s 76th Republic Day initiatives, aims to provide permanent housing to the poorest of the poor, disabled persons, widows, and transgenders. Initially, sanction letters have been issued to 72,000 beneficiaries with residential land, and officials have been instructed to expedite construction immediately.
State IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu while launching the ‘MDR.My Digi Record mobile app, developed by Medure Hospital Services, in Jubilee Hills announced that AI-powered health profile aims to streamline medical records, reduce redundant tests, and enable faster more accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Sridhar Babu emphasized that this initiative will not only ease the financial burden on patients but also help doctors predict and prevent future health issues. The government is committed to making this AI-driven healthcare model a role model for other states, ensuring efficient, data-driven, and patient-centric medical services in Telangana. By leveraging AI-powered integrated health profiles, the state aims to reduce this burden, empower doctors.
