Telangana targets $3 trillion economy by 2047: Bhatti

Telangana as a global investment destination while reshaping the state’s overall development trajectory through forward-looking infrastructure and economic initiatives

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said the Telangana government is implementing the “Telangana Rising 2047” vision with the ambitious goal of transforming the state into a $3 trillion economy by 2047 and achieving a $1 trillion economy within the next five years.

Addressing a meeting of the Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) in the United States, Bhatti Vikramarka said the state government was pursuing a development model that places welfare and development at the centre of its governance agenda.

He said Telangana was being developed on a new economic framework comprising three zones — Core Urban (CURE), Peri-Urban (PURE) and Rural Agri (RARE) — aimed at ensuring balanced and sustainable growth across the state.

The Deputy Chief Minister said Bharat Future City, being developed at Mucherla, would emerge as the state’s fourth major urban centre after Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Cyberabad. Envisioned as a pollution-free, Net-Zero urban hub, the futuristic city is expected to play a key role in Telangana’s economic transformation, he said.

Bhatti Vikramarka said the government was working to position Telangana as a global investment destination while reshaping the state’s overall development trajectory through forward-looking infrastructure and economic initiatives.

He also outlined the government’s major development programmes and future plans before overseas delegates and NRIs, and urged them to be partners in Telangana’s growth story.

Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Government Whip Addanki Dayakar, MLAs T. Ram Mohan Reddy, Rakesh Reddy, Kale Yadaiah, Donthi Madhava Reddy, Yennam Srinivas Reddy, Vijaya Dairy Chairman Gutta Amit Reddy, Congress leaders, including Hanumantha Jhansi Reddy, and leaders of the Indian Overseas Congress were also present in the meeting.
