The third day of the Telangana Rythu Mahotsavam 2025, held at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds, witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of farmers, including many from far-flung rural areas. Residents of Hyderabad also showed up in good numbers, expressing support for the farming community.

Agriculture and Farmers Commission Chairman Kodanda Reddy attended the event for the third consecutive day. He interacted with farmers from remote districts, gathering inputs about their agricultural practices, crops, climatic challenges, and their views on government policies.

Kodanda Reddy highlighted the Telangana government's farmer-centric approach under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership. He noted that several welfare schemes launched by the current administration have prioritized agriculture and farmer well-being.

“The Telangana government stands firmly with its farmers. Initiatives like Rs 2 lakh loan waivers per unit, a ₹500 bonus for tenant farmers, and schemes such as Rythu Bharosa and Aatmiya Bharosa are clear indicators of this commitment,” he stated.

Emphasizing the need for modernization in farming, Kodanda Reddy urged farmers to adopt mechanized agriculture and reduce dependency on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. He also advised them to conduct soil testing before crop planning and suggested shifting focus from commercial crops to horticulture for better sustainability and returns.
