BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday asserted that a strong pro KCR sentiment is rapidly growing across Telangana, claiming that people from all sections of society are increasingly demanding the return of former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the exit of the Congress government.
Addressing a meeting of key BRS leaders and party workers at Sattupalli in Khammam district, KTR alleged that the Congress government had failed farmers, students, youth, employees and weaker sections during its two and a half years in office. He said public dissatisfaction was visible everywhere and maintained that Telangana was witnessing a widespread demand for KCR's leadership once again.
KTR accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of failing to fulfill election promises and questioned the government's stand on crop procurement.
He said the Congress had promised comprehensive support to farmers but had fallen short on implementation. He also alleged delays in investment support, incomplete farm loan waiver commitments and inadequate arrangements for crop procurement.
Highlighting the BRS government's record, KTR said KCR had introduced transformative welfare initiatives, including Rythu Bandhu, irrigation projects and infrastructure development that strengthened Telangana's economy and agricultural sector. He claimed that more than 72 lakh farmers benefited from investment support during the BRS regime and asserted that the party remained committed to farmer welfare.
The BRS leader also criticised the Congress government over pending fee reimbursement dues and unemployment issues, demanding immediate release of educational reimbursements and fulfillment of assurances made to students and job seekers.
Referring to development works in the undivided Khammam district, KTR said major projects initiated during the BRS tenure, including the Seetharama Project, required renewed focus and completion. He accused the present government of neglecting key irrigation and development initiatives.
Calling upon party workers to remain united and active, KTR said BRS cadres were the foundation of the party's strength and assured them of full support. He urged leaders and workers to ensure successful digital membership enrolment across the State and remain vigilant during the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
