The 38th National Games, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (January 28) in Uttarakhand, witnessed enthusiastic participation from the state of Telangana.
The Telangana contingent, comprising 212 players across 23 sports disciplines, is all set to make the state proud with their skills and determination. The contingent is being led by Chef De Mission A Sonibala, Vice Chairman and Managing Director accompanied by two Deputy Chef de Mission A Maheshwar and D Sanjeeva Reddy and other supporting staff.
Telangana flag bearers are T Chikitha, international archer and Master Dhanush Srikanth, International ace shooter in Deaflympics. Telangana international players from sports disciplines like Athletics, Shooting, Archery, Badminton, Lawn tennis, Gymnastics, table tennis, etc will be participating in this national game.
Jithender Reddy, Special Representative of Telangana at Delhi and Advisor, Sports Affairs and Shivsena Reddy have also witnessed the spectacular opening ceremony and encouraged the players to perform their best and bring laurels to the state.
