Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, on Tuesday, visited the iconic Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, a place closely associated with Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. During his visit, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to Gandhi and spent time reflecting on his life, values, and message of peace and simplicity.

Revanth showed keen interest in learning about Gandhi’s way of life at the ashram. He inquired about Gandhi’s daily routine and the ashram’s role in India’s freedom struggle. One of the highlights of his visit was his interest in learning about the charkha (spinning wheel) used by Gandhi. The Chief Minister even tried spinning the wheel himself to better understand its historical and symbolic significance.

Later, Revanth participated in a prayer session at the ashram, honoring the values of non-violence and simplicity that Gandhi espoused throughout his life. The Chief Minister arrived in Ahmedabad on Tuesday morning to attend the two-day All India Congress Committee (AICC) sessions scheduled for April 8 and 9. He is accompanied by a 44-member delegation from the Telangana Congress unit, which includes Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, cabinet ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and senior party leaders.
