The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) has requested a meeting with the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) at a neutral venue in Hyderabad and has sent a formal request to HCA and copies to Secretary, Board of Control for Cricket in India. The request for a joint meeting stems from Bombay High Court directions dated January 27, 2026.
It may be noted that the TCA has been for several years demanding completeness of the record and transparency in the working of HCA including, player selections, distribution of funds, and most importantly providing opportunities to players from the districts.
In the letter, TCA has offered, subject to HCA’s consent, to make arrangements to host the meeting. For transparency and accurate record-keeping, TCA will arrange audio and video recording of the entire proceedings and has permitted HCA to make simultaneous recordings. The Association has proposed that only duly elected and presently serving committee members from both associations attend the meeting; legal counsel or advisors should not be present. Each side may be represented by up to two support staff solely for recording and minuting purposes.
In further compliance with the Bombay High Court directions and to ensure completeness of the record, TCA has requested HCA to provide the full audio and video recordings of the meeting held on March 29, 2025, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. TCA’s own recorded minutes of that meeting have been enclosed for HCA’s reference. The Association has asked HCA to intimate a convenient date, time and venue at least one week prior to the proposed meeting date.
