Tanishq, the jewellery brand from the House of Tata, has launched Malle, its first Uncut Diamond collection exclusively for South India, ahead of the Varamahalakshmi festival. Unveiled by actress Rukmini Vasanth, the collection celebrates Andhra Pradesh and Telangana's heritage while honouring the Lekhinis of Telugu initiative.

Inspired by Malli Flower

Drawing inspiration from Malli (Jasmine), a flower deeply associated with South Indian women, the collection reflects its significance in daily adornment, festivals, weddings and religious rituals. The designs reinterpret jasmine buds, blooming flowers and woven garlands into contemporary jewellery while preserving traditional aesthetics.

The collection features regional favorites such as Bottu Malas, Guttapusalu haars, Jhumkis, necklaces and chokers, along with bangles, bracelets, rings and pendants. Crafted in 18K gold, the pieces combine Uncut Diamonds with emeralds, rubies, sapphires and pearls.

Uncut brilliance

Unlike faceted diamonds, Uncut Diamonds retain much of their natural form, giving every piece a distinct texture and subtle brilliance. According to Tanishq, this organic character mirrors the individuality of jasmine flowers and forms the essence of the Malle collection.

Chief Marketing Officer Pelki Tshering said the collection transforms a cultural symbol traditionally worn alongside jewellery into jewellery itself, while remaining deeply connected to regional identity.

Actor Rukmini Vasanth described Malle as a thoughtful interpretation of South India's heritage that blends tradition with contemporary elegance. "This malle launch is the Combination of nostalgia and novelty with it's craftsmanship standing out the most", she added.

To mark the festive season, Tanishq is offering up to Rs 601 off per gram on gold jewellery from August 19 to 22, 2026. Customers can also avail up to 20 per cent off on making charges of gold jewellery and diamond value, along with zero deduction on the exchange of old gold (from 9 karat) when purchasing diamond jewellery. The offers are valid until August 31, 2026, across Tanishq stores in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
