Mulugu District Collector Divakara T.S. has directed officials to develop complete awareness of tribal welfare laws and ensure there is no negligence in their implementation.

Addressing a training programme held on Saturday at the District Collectorate conference hall, the Collector emphasized the importance of effective enforcement of key tribal legislations, including the Forest Rights Act, PESA Act, and Land Transfer Regulation (LTR) Act. The session was organized for MPDOs, Tahsildars, MPOs, and officials from police, forest, and revenue departments.

Divakara T.S. stated that these laws were designed to safeguard the rights of tribal communities, particularly in Scheduled Areas, and stressed that officials must have strong field-level understanding to implement them effectively. He warned that any laxity in execution could undermine the welfare and legal protections guaranteed to tribal populations.

The Collector also highlighted the need for coordination among departments to ensure tribal rights are preserved in both administrative and developmental activities.

Among those present were DFO Rahul Kishan Jadhav, ITDA APO Nagorao, DRDA PD Chandrasekhar, Tahsildars, MPDOs, forest and police officials, and leaders of various tribal organizations.
