Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Friday pitched a strategic industrial collaboration between Telangana and Karnataka, describing the economic strengths of both states as complementary components of a unified value chain. Speaking at the Bengaluru Roadshow for the upcoming Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026, organised in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Sridhar Babu addressed business leaders and investors, emphasising synergy over inter-state competition.

“We have not come to Bengaluru to take anything away. Karnataka has its strengths, and they are extraordinary. Telangana has its own. We have come with humility, to propose a partnership,” Sridhar Babu said. Paying tribute to Karnataka’s industrial and scientific legacy citing historic milestones from Kempegowda and M. Visvesvaraya to the establishment of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) the Minister noted that Karnataka has long recognised knowledge as “the first industry.”He lauded Bengaluru’s position as India’s startup hub and its foundational role in aerospace via HAL, ISRO, and NAL.

Outlining a concrete blueprint for cross-state integration, Sridhar Babu highlighted potential supply-chain links between Bengaluru’s R&D capabilities and Telangana’s manufacturing ecosystem:

The Minister urged global enterprises with existing operations in Bengaluru to establish secondary hubs in Hyderabad, leveraging the talent pool from premier institutions including IISc, IIT Hyderabad, ISB, and IIIT, alongside innovation ecosystems like T-Hub.
