SRM Public School begins operations in Amaravati

A new chapter in school education in Andhra Pradesh commenced with the inauguration of SRM Public School, Amaravati, at the SRM University-AP campus. The institution was formally inaugurated by A. Bhargav Teja, Additional Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), in the presence of educationists, parents, academicians and distinguished guests.

SRM Public School Amaravati is the second school established under the SRM Group of Schools and the first school launched by the group in Amaravati. The institution has begun admissions and academic operations for the 2026-27 academic year, offering classes from Pre-KG to Grade 2, with plans for phased expansion in the coming years.

The inauguration ceremony brought together key stakeholders from the education sector, including M. Subramanian, Correspondent, SRM Group of Schools, who outlined the institution’s vision of providing quality education that blends academic excellence with holistic development.

Speaking on the occasion, A. Bhargav Teja, emphasized the importance of nurturing young learners through innovative, inclusive and future-ready educational practices. He noted that schools play a crucial role in shaping the next generation and preparing students to meet the opportunities and challenges of a rapidly evolving world.

The APCRDA Additional Commissioner lauded the SRM Group for its longstanding reputation in the field of education and its contributions to national and state-level educational initiatives. He expressed confidence that the institution would emerge as a centre of excellence in the capital region.

Dr. Vinayak Kalluri, Registrar, SRM University-AP, also addressed the gathering and highlighted the university’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation and community engagement. He said the launch of SRM Public School reflects the institution’s broader vision of strengthening the educational ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh.

With the establishment of SRM Public School in Amaravati, the capital region continues to attract premier educational institutions, reinforcing its emergence as a major hub for quality education and knowledge-driven development in the state.
