Chief Engineer Bhaskar Reddy has instructed officials to accelerate the completion of the Shilpa Layout Flyover, connecting Gachibowli and Kondapur, by May 15. On Wednesday, he, along with senior engineers, consultants, and representatives from the construction agency, inspected the progress of the flyover work.

During the review, Bhaskar Reddy directed authorities to fast-track the land acquisition process and ensure timely completion of service road construction on the left side of the flyover. He urged officials to resolve land constraints affecting the removal of electrical equipment, which were causing delays in the project. He also pointed out the lack of space for the stormwater drain and emphasized the need for swift action.

Officials were instructed to acquire the necessary properties for junction development at Old Bombay Highway. The inspection also included a review of grade road, median work, and other necessary components along the Outer Ring Road stretch. Authorities were advised to install expansion joints as per the design and expedite the remaining deck slab works, including P30, P31, P31-32, and P33-A2.

Additional efforts were urged to ensure a smooth surface for PMB application, complete crash barrier installation, and final touches such as gantries, signboards, and painting. Bhaskar Reddy directed officials to finish all remaining works by May 15 to ensure timely completion of the project. Deputy EE Harish and other officials accompanied the chief engineer during the inspection.
