Minister for Labour and Mines Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy said the Telangana government is providing “Indiramma Houses” to the poor inspired by the vision of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He stated that the Congress government is fulfilling Indira Gandhi’s “Garibi Hatao” slogan in true spirit.
The Minister said that 3,500 Indiramma houses have been sanctioned for each Assembly constituency and clarified that the houses are being allotted only to genuine beneficiaries.
He announced that the second phase distribution of Indiramma houses will commence from June 2. Vivek Venkatswamy said the Congress government is fulfilling the dream of home ownership for poor families. Stating that the previous BRS government misled the people in the name of double-bedroom houses, he said that under the present Congress government, eligible beneficiaries are receiving houses. He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for road works and several development projects worth around Rs 8 crore in Bhanur village of Patancheru mandal in Sangareddy district.
