South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Thursday conducted a detailed inspection of the Adilabad–Mudkhed–Purna section under Nanded Division, reviewing infrastructure development, passenger amenities and safety standards. He was accompanied by Nanded Divisional Railway Manager Pradeep Lakshmanrao Kamle and senior railway officials.
The inspection began at Adilabad Railway Station, where the GM assessed redevelopment works under the Amrit Station Scheme, along with facilities at the crew lobby and combined crew running room. Adilabad MLA Payal Shanker met the General Manager to discuss regional railway development, while several public representatives submitted requests.
During the visit, Srivastava inspected Level Crossing Gate No.23 between Adilabad and Kinwat, reviewing safety equipment, records, and operational procedures, and interacted with the gateman regarding working conditions.
At Kinwat Railway Station, he examined passenger amenities, the booking counter, waiting areas, station master’s office, and ongoing redevelopment works. Officials presented progress reports, and the GM directed them to accelerate works to meet target deadlines.
The inspection also covered Bridge No.110 at Nagada–Nallah, track safety at Curve No.40, and interactions with maintenance staff. At Himayatnagar, Bhokar, Mudkhed and Purna stations, the GM reviewed Amrit Station redevelopment projects and urged timely completion to enhance passenger facilities.
At Purna Railway Station, Srivastava inspected the readiness of the Medical Relief Van (MRV) and Accident Relief Train (ART), emphasizing preparedness for emergency response.
