SCC seminar focuses on tech in cancer control

The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), in collaboration with the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) and Swastava Cancer Care (SCC), organized a seminar titled “Reducing Cancer Mortality – The Role of Technology” at ASCI Auditorium, Banjara Hills on Saturday. 

The seminar commenced with addresses by R.P. Singh (IPS Retd.), president of SCC.

Bhavesh Mishra, IAS, Deputy Secretary, IT&C Department, Government of Telangana, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the positive role AI can play in early cancer detection .

Dr. M. Srinivasulu from MNJ Hospital, pointed out that only two major hospitals in the state currently have testing capabilities and stressed the need for expanding diagnostic facilities. SCC also released a report outlining strategies for early detection, lifestyle awareness, and technological adoption in cancer care. Panel discussions followed, focusing on HPV vaccination, gynecological and oral cancers, and the integration of AI.

Senior journalist K.Ramachandra Murthy, R. Ravi Kumar, senior vice president, FTCCI, and others also participated in the seminar.
